Rosellinia saccardii L. Petrini
This species, described as R. aquila var. byssiseda by Saccardo,
is a small-spored representant of the R. aquila complex, differing from
R. glabra in having a more developed subiculum (Petrini, 1993). It is based on old
material, therefore data regarding ascal apical apparatus and ascospore appendages
or slimy sheath are lacking.
It is known from Europe (France, Germany, Italy) on Gleditschia and
Robinia (Petrini, 1993). We did not collect it, but fresh material would
be welcome.
